Well t looks like I’m going to try My hand at car flipping. I found this 1998 Crown Vic LX with 153,000 miles. for sale, asking price 800 bucks. They say it’s not rusted, and all it needs is new brake pads and rotors. I figure if anything it’s a safer way to spend 1000 bucks than that’s Yamaha I posted yesterday. I’m hoping it’s cleanish and has good tires, if so I could probably get 2000 out of it. The alternative out come is I keep the Vic and sell the Galant VR-4. We’ll see.

A lot of times a car like this will sell for the price your talking about by just throwing some new brakes on, cleaning it up, and taking pictures that don’t present it as abandoned.

You could always list both of them for sale at the same time and only actually sell whichever one sells for more/faster.

Take a good look inside the wheel wells, especially with the chrome lips on them I could see them hiding a little bit of rust.

It could be a win win situation. Either the Vic sells and I’ve got more money to fix the Galant, or the Galant sells and I’ve got a nice car plush cash in the bank. And I’ll just have to worry about having a really fun car latter

Don’t forget the “hidden” costs of titling and registration. Plus insurance while it sits waiting to be sold. Plus whatever needs to be fixed before it can be registered. Etc...

No inspection is Wi so getting t registered will be cheap. I’m assuming the insurance will be almost free with a multi vehicle discount. Right now we only pay 70/month for our two cars one of which has full coverage.
